For almost a year now Teagan has been taking swim lessons at Academy Swim Club and has become quite the little swimmer. She loves going to "kick-kick" and has come such a long way. Throughout the summer I would take her down on Sundays but come Fall they were no longer open on the weekends. I originally was going to pull her because, well I have to work, but my parents insisted I leave her in. After going back and forth I decided What the heck? and so we left her in and I am so glad we did. Due to the fact she goes with my mom during the week Scott and I are unable to watch and see how much she progresses. My mom has been out of town for 2 weeks(which I hate because she does SO much for us) but it gave us the opportunity to take her and go watch. Before we got there Scott and I had a conversation along these lines:
Scott: How long is Teagan's lesson again?
Me: 25 Minutes
Scott: Wow, 2 hours of driving for a 25 minute lesson. That's crazy!
Me: Yea, but my mom doesn't mind, she used to do this stuff for us when we were growing up.
Then we get her ready and off she goes running and jumps(literally) into the pool. After about 5 minutes of her lesson Scott and my conversation was this:
Me: Oh My Gosh! I cannot believe how good she is.
Scott: Yea, it's no wonder your mom likes taking her(to see her do so good)
And then we both sat there in almost silence just taken back at what a Lil' Swimmer she is and we were having such a PROUD PARENT moment.
So Mom and Dad, Scott and I want you to know how much we truly appreciate your time and dedication to taking Teagan to and from her lessons because without you, this opportunity would definitely not be possible. Who know, maybe by 5 she will be competeing like I did and be the next Michael Phelps, haha!
Now sit back and enjoy a little video we took while watching last week....
